Introducing CheerpJ Applet Runner
CheerpJ Applet Runner is a Chrome extension that 'converts' Java Applets to WebAssembly and JavaScript in real-time. Developed by Leaning Technologies, this chrome extension uses CheerpJ, a professional-grade Java to HTML5 compiler, providing a seamless browsing experience. Using CheerpJ Applet Runner
Getting started with this tool is incredibly straightforward. After installing the extension, visit your Applet-based website and enable the extension by clicking on the CheerpJ icon located at the upper right corner of your browser.
User Reviews: The Good and The Not-So-Good
Users have applauded CheerpJ Applet Runner's functionality and efficiency. One user, Don A. Edwards, described it as a 'life-saver,' enabling him to
access
older Allen Bradley 1734-AENT/A units through Chrome. Similarly, Craig Reynolds appreciated the extension for allowing him to view his old Java applets again.
Despite the generally positive feedback, some users have expressed dissatisfaction. Sabrina Ergert criticized the extension for not delivering on its promises, citing a specific website that failed to work on Chrome-based browsers. Fretta deemed the extension 'useless.'
Why CheerpJ Applet Runner Stands Out
CheerpJ Applet Runner's unique proposition lies in its ability to run fully client-side, meaning it doesn't communicate with any server and doesn't collect data or analytics. All your information and applications remain within your browser boundaries, reinforcing privacy and security.
This chrome extension is free for non-commercial use on public-network Applets. If you wish to deploy it for internal network applets or for corporate use, please contact

In conclusion, CheerpJ Applet Runner has become a favorite among Chrome extension development tools, thanks to its user-friendly interface, robust functionality, and commitment to privacy and security. Its high aggregate rating is truly well-deserved, rendering it as one of the top Chrome extensions for running Java Applets.

The Java Applet I am using looks and behaves very similarly under CheerpJ on a modern computer, vs an ancient computer with an old browser that actually runs Java applets. Performance is good, too. Five stars! Note: You do have to explicitly enable CheerpJ every time you visit a page with an applet.
Simply amazing semplicity and effectiveness. Very useful with old switches that only have a Java Applet interface and other similar appliances. Great job!
Some Java Applet works and others don't. I send report to verify how to resolve the problem. Thanks
Hi, cheerpj did not run the https://www.logicmazes.com/alice.html. None of the links on that page work even after cheerpj is installed. Chrome version is 120.0.6099.225. Looking for help. If I get the way to make it work, then will increase rating to 5.
